LODD Jeffrey Scott Bowen

Jeffrey Scott Bowen entered service on August 5th, 1998.  He was a 37 year old Captain on Rescue 3 at Station 3 at the time of his death on July 28th, 2011.  He died of asphyxiation at a fire at 445 Biltmore Avenue.

LODD Raymond James Flowers

Raymond James Flowers entered service on April 27th, 1981.  He was a 35 year old Firefighter on Engine 6 at Station 6 at the time of his death on May 26th, 1982.  He died from a structural collapse at a fire in the West Asheville Baptist Church at 926 Haywood Road.

LODD Jimmie Edward Trent

Jimmie Edward Trent entered service on February 16th, 1974.  He was a 35 year old Private at the time of this death on November 13th, 1975.  He died of heart failure at the Charles George VA Medical Center.  He fought two fires on November 1st - a gasoline tanker fire and a fire at the Red Chair Restaurant on North Pack Square.  If anyone has a picture of Jimmie, please contribute.   

LODD Arthur W. Duckett

Arthur W. Duckett entered service on April 1st, 1924.  He was a 63 year old Lieutenant on Engine 5 at Station 5 at the time of his death on March 7th, 1966.  He suffered a heart attack at Station 5 after fighting a brush fire on Chapel Park Road. 

LODD Charles Augustus "Gus" Werhan

Charles Augustus "Gus" Werhan entered service on March 8th, 1960.  He was a 25 year old Driver of Engine 1A at Station 1 at the time of his death on December 9th, 1963.  He died of suffocation at a fire at 23 Biltmore Avenue in the Susquehanna Antique Shop. 

LODD Harry Lionel Williams

Harry Lionel Williams entered service on August 23rd, 1924.  He was 47 years old and a Driver of Engine 3 at Station 2 at the time of his death on October 20th, 1944 at 7 p.m. He suffered a heart attack at 276 Haywood Road at a fire in Bon Ton Cleaners.
